This Georgian guest house provides a relaxing and easy going approach to holiday making. Each room is serviced daily and friendly staff will make your stay here as homely as possible. We do operate a no smoking policy; smokers are welcome to use the areas to the front and rear of the house.--With a No Curfew policy, you are welcome to come and go as you please and our healthy continental buffet breakfast (toast, cereal, fruit, cheese, yoghurt, pastries etc) is available anytime before 10:30am, to allow you to have a much needed lie-in, if you wish.--Check in times are arranged to fit in with your schedulewe arrange them around the time you wish to arrivejust give us a call and we will be here. --The house is fitted with WIFI internet and we also have onsite secure car parking available for guest use. Each room has a TV and DVD player and fresh towelssoapstumblers etc. --TeaCoffee facilities are available throughout the day in our communal dining room as well as a guest fridge and microwave.--We accept all bookings including families, groups, contractors, business etc and accept all major creditdebit cards. --Being in walking distance to all of the local shops, restaurants and nightlife, you won't have very far to walk for a good night outbut not too close so you will still be able to have a good nights sleep. Once upon a Tyne is well signposted from all major routes. Once you are in South Shields follow the A194 dual carriageway into the centre of South Shields over a series of roundabouts. The dual carriageway ends at the roundabout with The Lord Clyde public house on the left. Turn right here and continue along to the end of the road at the T-junction controlled by traffic lights. At these lights you will see the Town Hall in front of you. Keep in the left lane on approach. Turn left at the traffic lights and move into the right lane where you can head through the next set of lights veering to the right. The Town Hall will be on your right. This is Beach Road. Go straight over the next roundabout and Once upon a Tyne is on the left hand side at number 55..
